An original 19th Century pitch pine bench/pew, salvaged from a local Methodist Chapel in Woodford, Cornwall.
It is in general good condition and is strong and sturdy with a lovely colour and patina. It brings with it all character of its age, including oxidation marks on two of its legs around the bolts, the odd mark and scratch that tell the tale of times gone by.
The bench has just been lightly sanded, clear waxed and treated with neem oil to offer ongoing protection from long since departed wood worm.
All in all a beautiful piece for inside or outside dining and relaxation areas.
